The information on this page is for reference only. If you missed us this year,
please join us for GOBA 2009.
The 2009 host towns will be announced here on November 24. Dates for GOBA 2009
are June 20-27.
To reserve your space on GOBA 2008, download and complete the registration form; read, sign, and date the waiver; and mail with a check payable to The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure for the proper fees (in US funds, drawn on a US bank) to:
GOBA-REG

The registration fees are:
| Adults (ages 16 and over) | $190.00 |

for COP members*) |
|
| Children 6-15 | 85.00 |
||
| Children 5 and under | Free |
||
| *Note: COP discount applies to adult (16 & over) members only | |||
Note: Registration includes free week-long parking in Wellington. If you wish to bring a vehicle along with you each day, you will need to register as a Car Camper and pay an additional fee.
Also, as of May 1, the discount for early registration has expired; the above fee schedule is current.
In honor of our 20th year, catch the fun by vying for Rider #20 or #2020! Here's how you can enter to win:
Rider #2020: Submit your registration postmarked by December 31 -- that's it! All registrations postmarked by December 31 will be automatically entered; no additional cost.
Rider #20: With your registration postmarked by April 15, include your donation for raffle chances at $5 each. All proceeds from the raffle go directly to the Bicycle Development Fund to raise funds for Ohio bicycle-related projects. Buying more chances means more chances to win!
Both drawings will be held in the GOBA office. Both winners will be notified within 4 weeks of the contest closing. The GOBA office will then void out winners' original rider number and will re-issue the new GOBA-20 number.
Registrants will receive a confirmation packet by mail within a few weeks after registering (we are not able to provide any earlier confirmation of registration, such as phone or email). The packet will contain medical information cards for everyone in your group -- please complete these and mail them back in to us as soon as possible.
Your group's rider numbers will also be included. Please keep track of these; they will facilitate the check-in process, and help us locate your registration should any questions arise.
You will receive other items (wristband, rider number placard, etc.) at the start of the tour, when you check-in in Wellington.
Periodically, you will receive other mailings from us: March, May, and June newsletters, T-shirts (if ordered with your registration), and the GOBA Digest (if hard-copy delivery is chosen at registration).
The Digest will be published here on the website around May 30. If you check "Web-Pub" on your registration form, you will not receive a hard copy. We invite you to help us save paper by choosing that option when you register.
Our rider handbook, "The Way to GOBA," will be published online only (please call us at 614-273-0811, x1, if you would like a copy mailed to you).
Refund requests must be sent by certified mail and be postmarked by May 14, 2008; there will be no refunds for any reason after May 14. A $40 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds. Address your letter to the registration address, above.
The deadline to enter has been extended to May 21. Please note, this is not a "postmarked-by" deadline; we must receive your fully paid registration, along with a signed waiver, by 5pm EDT on this date. If you are registering at the last minute, you may want to consider FedEx or other express delivery.
T-shirt availability is not assured after May 1, 2008.
All registrations are for the entire week--no partial-week registrations. All participants must register, whether or not they are bicycling. Each registrant must agree with and sign the Liability Waiver and Indemnification Agreement (custodial parent or legal guardian signs for entrants under 18). Registrations are not accepted without payment and are non-transferable. Incomplete or improperly filled-out applications will be returned without being processed. T-shirt availability is not assured after May 1, 2007.
Age restrictions: In order to be a GOBA participant who rides on or is pulled by a bicycle, a child must reach their 2nd birthday by June 14, 2008. Note the age restriction does not apply to registered children in a car, accompanying other registered riders. Also be advised, GOBA volunteer support vehicles do not carry child safety seats.
If you should need ambulance transportation on the tour, you may need to pay for it. Bring your medical insurance card.
Pets: Since our overnight facilities have restrictions regarding animals on the grounds, we must request that you not bring your pets into GOBA campgrounds.
Alcohol is not permitted in the camping areas of GOBAville. In addition, some of our facilities strictly prohibit the use of alcohol on all parts of their grounds. Non-compliers will be asked to leave the tour.
As with any physical activity, you should consult your physician about your ability to participate in GOBA.
